John (Jack) McCreery

Mr. McCreery is a Senior Counsel in the Commission’s Office of Investor Education and Assistance (OIEA). OIEA carries out the Commission’s investor education program and responds to tens of thousands of investor inquiries each year, addressing consumer questions and complaints on a wide range of securities-related topics, including investments and financial professionals. OIEA also provides input on rulemaking and other policy issues that impact individual investors.

Mr. McCreery joined the Commission in 2001 as an Attorney Adviser for the Division of Corporate Finance, which oversees corporate disclosure of important information to the investing public. Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. McCreery was a pharmaceutical sales representative for Pfizer, Inc.

Mr. McCreery holds a Juris Doctor from St. John’s School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Villanova University.
